The three main towns are
- Adamas - The main port and central bus station
- Plaka - Capital, on a hill with great sunset views, bars and restaurants
- Trypiti and Triovasalos are smaller towns but they pretty much join up with Plaka
- Pollonia - On the coast in the North East - A fishing village that becomes the chic resort of the island in the summer

Getting around the island
Things to do and see
- Go on a boat trip to see parts of the island you can’t drive to, we did this one and it was amazing the crew were phenomenal. Food and drinks included (they had a lot of beer and wine) and they took you to some amazing swimming spots and beaches. Chances of seeing a turtle is high. Around 35 euro for a packed busy boat or 170 euro for a full day on a catamaran which much more space
- Kleftiko in the South West can only be reached by boat but it is beautiful with loads of nice caves and cliffs
